Are You Paying Attention?
by Brenda Szgatti
Consider this ...
- Do you ever find
yourself signing up for program after program, hoping that this will
be the big one?
- Are you seeing
results?
- Are you earning
enough to cover the monthly costs of these programs?
If not, then you need to read this
article. It will tell you one thing and one thing only:
STOP!!
Much like Susan Powter, I am going
to try and Stop the Insanity
So many people in the network
marketing business do not realize the importance of PAYING ATTENTION
Sounds simple, right?
Well, obviously it is not as
simple as we would like to think, since there are so many people out
there experiencing this problem.
One of the most important things
you can do for yourself, and your business, is to pay attention to the
programs you are joining. I am not saying you should not join
programs. Rather I want you to take some time and effort BEFORE
joining these programs to find out a little bit about them.
Most programs have information
available to you even if you are not a member. Go through the menus,
read their website, and try to get a feel for what the program is and
what it has to offer before you jump right in and give them your
money!
Youll want to find out a few
things about the program before you should even consider it as an
opportunity.
- How long has the
company been around for?
- What service
does the company provide, if any?
- Can you contact
customer service relatively easily?
- What is the
pay/commission schedule like?
- What is the cost
to you
is it a one-time fee or a monthly fee?
- How many
membership levels do they have, and what are the benefits of each?
- Can you easily
reach the company for support (is there a phone number?)
- Do you know who
your upline sponsor is?
- Can you easily
contact your upline sponsor?
You will also need to set some
criteria for yourself before joining a new program:
-
How
much are you willing to spend on products
-
How
much are you willing to spend on advertising
-
How
much time are you willing to invest each week? Each day?
-
Are
you comfortable with basic computer skills (email, word processor,
instant messenger, web browsers)
With information and decisions in
hand, you are ready to market your business online
right?
NOT! Your work has just begun and
this is where mayhem begins
Once you have all of the above
information, both about what you want and what the program is
offering, it is up to you to decide whether the program/service is
right for you.
When doing this, you really need
to decide whether you have the time and money available to put into
the program.
However, dont let the above
intimidate you
you will be able to handle it if you do one thing
FOCUS.
To make this task a little easier,
I suggest finding a mentor
someone who has been online for a while
and knows what they are doing. That is what we do here at
The Contact List Builder, and you are more than welcome to ask us
questions any time. You will find contact information at the end of
this article.
If you are unsure if a new program
is right for you, or if you are having a hard time setting criteria
for yourself, a mentor will be able to guide you in the right
direction. They will be able to help you pay attention, which
is the main focus of this article.
You will find that once you start
paying attention to the simple, yet important details, your mind will
not get clogged with information that is only taking up space and may
be of no use to you.
Happy Marketing,
