Internet Etiquette

Hello and welcome to all our faithful and dedicated readers of Sykaro Insights.

Today I want to talk to you about Internet Etiquette, or lack thereof. My partner, Don and I have been working online now for over 3 years and I have to tell you, I've seen and heard it all. 

It never ceases to amaze me how rude some individuals can be. I am certain you have also run across them from time to time. People who have subscribed to your ezine or personal contact list, then reply rudely to be removed.

In all the emails I write, I include instructions to be removed. My emails are always polite and my instructions simple. I do not, for the life of me, understand why someone has to write to me using profanities to be removed.

"Stop sending your !*&%ing* emails!!!!!! I am tired of them I don't want your stupid opporunity one more message and I'll report SP*M"

Now tell me, please, was this really necessary? I honour all remove requests and do not understand why individuals must respond in this way. The worst part is that I almost missed this email as the individual put "Get Out!" as the subject - normally this would have been deleted as junk mail!!!!

So .. I wonder .. would this individual have reported me for "sp*m" had he received another promotion from me? 

I have to admit I was tempted to write to this individual and ask why he felt compelled to demean himself by writing such trash. I mean, really .. what is it that this individual is trying to accomplish? It certainly isn't to build a potential relationship. 

I was only tempted to write for a short time as I reminded myself ... do I want to work with an individual who thinks this way? Do I want to take the time to help this individual learn and help change his thinking? Will he listen?

NEXT ... 

This is likely the hardest thing I've learned to do here online .. say "NEXT..." Walk away from unpleasantries and move on to those who have like interests.

After all ... isn't that what we are doing here .. searching for real people who are 
"like-minded" and have similar interests and goals? Searching for real people we can work together with? I don't really want to work with individuals who continually use profanities and are just plain rude!

I'm looking to working with real people who want to succeed .. people who want to move forward with their business, who understand the value of mentoring and "masterminding". Success comes from hard work and connecting with the right people.
